A fascia is a long board that is fixed just below the lower roof where it meets the outer wall of your home or office building. It’s where the guttering is usually attached and is sometimes called the ‘roofline’. Modern ones are made from uPVC, but older ones are mainly made from wood which is then painted.
The soffits are often confused as part of the fascia boards; however, the soffits fit horizontally underneath at right angles and joins up with the wall of your property. You will often see narrow slats (modern ones) or holes and possibly some kind of vent plates (older ones) in the soffit boards to allow ventilation, this prevents condensation building up and causing damage to the underlying structure.

We use a pure water system which is a chemical free way to clean fascia’s and soffits. This way we can avoid any damage and the use of chemicals or detergents, this system allows us to easily clean away dirt and grime to leave so you get great results.
While it is up to you how you clean your own property, we wouldn’t recommend this method as it can easily damage them and potentially cause damage to other areas of your house, such as rendering, the mortar in between your bricks, your guttering and potentially your windows.
A pressure washer works best when used at close proximity to the surface you want to clean. Fascia’s and soffits are mostly higher up and harder to reach making it difficult to virtually impossible without extra equipment to clean them effectively and safely.
While you can wipe down reachable areas to the exterior of your property with various cleaning agents, it may not be safe to do so at height, which is where our pole fed pure water system really comes in to its own, combined with our cleaning expertise we can make quick work when removing mould and mildew.
